500-tonn capacity aseptic storing facilities.

The cannery has a large range of assortment:
apricot, peach, rose hip, apple, and tomato
juices, 30-34% brix tomato paste, apricot jam, pumpkin
preserves, eggplant paste, marinades, sun dried tomatoes in
sunflower oil. In
2002 the company has increased its production twice,
introducing fried eggplants with spices and stewed tomatoes.
Also the company has introduced 6 new types of ketchups.
Next
year Sardarapat expects to increase its production of juices,
introducing 4 new types of juice.

The
products of Sardarapat JSC are in demand
both domestically and worldwide. These products
are sold almost in all food stores and markets of Armenia and
also in a firm store of the company (address: 11a
Kievyan St, Yerevan).

The company has contracts
with importing companies
in Russia, France, and Israel. In 2001 they
exported total of 250 tonnes of fruit purees, marinades,
juices, and eggplant paste to Russia and 160 tons to USA and
Canada. The
company is working hard to increase the export of grape
leaves, one of its specialties. The cannery also has
preliminary export agreements with Italy and Belarus.

Sardarapat
JSC collaborates with different companies outside
Armenia to purchase raw material. Swiss Andre Group Company
supplies plastic barrels for tomato paste and fruit purees,
Bulgarian INDEX and DRUJBA companies provide twist-off jars,
Finnish PURE PACK Company supplies carton boxes for juice
production.

The main competitors in the
local market are
Ararat and Artashat Canneries and
canneries of Uzbekistan, China, Iran, Bulgaria, Turkey,
Moldova, and Russia, which import their products to Armenia.

The company participated in INTERDRINK 2000
Exhibition in Moscow, Russia and was awarded with
2 silver medals for juices and a bronze medal for apricot
vodka. The company presented the products in the First
International Exhibition ArmprodExpo in Yerevan, Armenia, in
the Three Countries of South Caucasus Exhibition in Tokyo,
Japan in 2001.

The management of the cannery has
already established infant food production
and is planning to increase the production volumes, add new
assortments, increase the export volumes and get modern
equipment.
